Erik G. Swanson was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Texas, New England and New York.  He graduated from the University of Chicago, where he was Chief Justice of the Student Supreme Court, with a B.A. in Anthropology.

Erik attended Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he graduated with his J.D. in 2004.  At Washington & Lee, Erik served as a case note writer for the Race & Ethnic Ancestry Law Journal, Treasurer of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, and studied European and International law at law schools in Estonia and Germany.

Erik practices in personal injury litigation, and has experience handling nursing home injuries, medical malpractice actions, car accident cases, asbestos and welding fume claims, and landlord-tenant, business, and real estate litigation.  He is admitted to the State and three Federal Courts of Illinois, as well as Federal Courts in Wisconsin and Indiana.  He resides with his family in north suburban Morton Grove.
